Goods handling module for Tower 24 by SSI SCHÄFER NOELL

SSI SCHÄFER NOELL teamed up with the Fraunhofer Institute to develop a ground-breaking system for the e-business and mail order sectors. Automatic storage towers are set up at central points in an urban setting. Here, customers can pick up goods they have ordered at any time of the day or night.

Polygon developed special dispensing stations for this purpose. They serve two purposes simultaneously: firstly, they are used to stock the storage tower, and secondly, they are on hand for customers to pick up their goods. The mechanical and electronic controls are perfectly streamlined to achieve largely maintenance-free, fail-safe and user-friendly operation.
