Fully automatic warehouse for picking systems

Polygon developed a fully automatic warehouse for picking systems. Besides developing the technology for the entire system, the project also involved engineering and prototype construction.

The automatic features include the input, stocking, and dispensation of medical products. The system first scans the medical products, takes them to their designated storage point and then, when needed, forwards them by conveyor technology to the sales counter in the pharmacy. The warehouse system has five axles, permitting lateral motion in addition to upward and downward movement. This technology ensures there is always enough space for stocking a sufficient amount of medical products no matter how little space is available.
