The unique and universal Polygon paper transport unit works perfectly with almost any printer; for instance, laser printers can also be equipped with a present and retract function. This turns a kiosk system into an ideal employee terminal when combined with the Polygon document shredder (utility model registered) for confidential print-outs left behind that satisfies the requirements of the DIN standards 66399-1 and 66399-2.
Here the Polygon ESS Suite monitors the PPU and the printer, providing an integrated, optical status display to show paper levels, the shredder recycle bin or printer progress. This optical display can also be modified to suit requirements. A motion sensor reports when a person leaves the terminal. This not only deletes all personal data and session data via SiteKiosk; all current print jobs are also binned and print-outs are shredded.

An end to compromises in the operation of kiosk systems! Until now there has been no system designed to accommodate the ergonomic needs of wheelchair users or the variety of heights among kiosk users. And mechanical systems to adjust the height of the operating unit have quite simply been too expensive.
The Virtual Height Adjustment (utility model registered) solution by Polygon is as simple as it is ingenious. Combined with a portrait format, 32" display unit, it permits individual positioning of the user interface.
And this is not just good news for wheelchair users, but also for children and very tall or short adults. After all, the feature permits ideal ergonomic operation of the system, irrespective of height.

We all know the situation. You're standing in front of a terminal and you don't know which keys to press, and in which order. Inexperienced users in particular will encounter difficulties in operating terminals with a large array of different input and output components. In many cases the labels and other written instructions are not particularly helpful, and merely cause additional confusion and clutter up the look instead.
The Clue Screen system by Polygon solves all of these problems. All of the relevant information is displayed on backlit, Plexiglas panels, precisely when it is needed. For instance, the system prompts the user if a printout should be withdrawn or a card inserted – providing only the information they need. All users see is a single-colour panel when the lighting is inactive. This reduces complexity and simplifies operation significantly.
