Please refer to the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG) for the underlying principles under law.
Access data/server logfiles
The provider (i.e. the webspace provider) collects data each time the services are accessed (so-called logfiles). The access data include:
name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, data volume transferred, report of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (most recently visited site), IP address and querying provider.
The provider uses these log files for statistical purposes and to ensure operation, security and optimisation of services provided only. However, the provider reserves the right to conduct subsequent analysis of the log file data insofar as there is a reasonable indication of unlawful use.
Handling of personal data
Personal data refer to information suitable to help identify a person, meaning data that can be traced back to a person. These data include name, email address or telephone number. Moreover, personal data also include data concerning proclivities, hobbies, memberships or websites that a certain person accesses.
The provider shall only collect, use and transmit personal data when permitted under law or if the user provides consent in this respect.
The user data are stored when contacting the provider (for instance by contact form or email) for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for the event there should be subsequent questions.
Integration of services and contents by third parties
It is possible that online content by third parties, for instance YouTube videos, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or diagrams from other websites might be embedded in the online services. In such cases the provider of said services (referred to hereafter as "third-party provider") will collect the user's IP address. This is because it is not possible to send content to the user's browser without the IP address. It follows that the IP address is necessary to display the content. We strive to ensure that the providers of third-party content on our website only use the IP address to deliver content. Nevertheless, we have no influence on whether the third-party provider uses the IP address for statistical or other purposes. As far as it is in our power, we inform users about this.
